A famous Nepalese song has a man telling his bride "सिन्दुर देउला पोते देउला...माया भकेय्रा....चन्द्र ज्यस्तो तिम्रो मुहार दिलमा राखेर"....
in translation he wants to adorn his love with पोते or handmade beads.
